PainX is the former name of PainCube. This article reproduces the wording used at the time of publication.

StellarCube, an AI and data-driven healthcare company, announced that it has signed an investment agreement worth USD 12 million with the global investment firm ACES for the PainX project, its AI pain management solution.
Since the Private Biotech Summit held in Jersey City, New Jersey in October last year, StellarCube has worked with ACES on a strategic partnership, developing plans step by step for joint development of AI-based digital healthcare technology, expansion of its data ecosystem, and entry into the North American market. After completing the letter of intent process, the parties have now signed the investment agreement itself.
The partnership is also seen as a leading example of a network formed through the Bio Summit Matching Day — an official program linked to the Korea–US Bio Summit — leading to concrete business cooperation. The program was organized by KCED (the Korea Culture and Economic Development Institute) and brought together bio and digital health companies, research institutes and investment institutions from both countries to assess technology and business viability and discuss medium- to long-term cooperation.
Through the matching day, StellarCube expanded its channels for cooperation with research institutes, hospitals and industry partners in the United States, building a virtuous cycle running from technology validation to clinical collaboration and market entry.
The PainX project covered by the investment is an AI solution that predicts and analyzes the likelihood of pain based on multimodal health data, including continuous biosignals, clinical data and user behavior data. Through it, StellarCube aims to support a shift towards prevention-centered care, clinical decision-making, automated patient monitoring and data-driven treatment strategies in a range of clinical settings.
The company's core strengths are its AI-based predictive analytics technology, its bioinformatics data processing capability, and its integrated multimodal health data platform — a combination seen as offering both technical scalability and commercial potential in digital healthcare.
Jinseob Noh, CEO of StellarCube, said: "This PainX investment agreement recognizes both StellarCube's technical competitiveness and its capacity for global collaboration. Building on AI–bio converged technology, we will maximise the value of medical data and combine global partnerships with our R&D capabilities to lead structural innovation in the digital healthcare industry."
North America is a key region where digital healthcare, AI medical analytics and precision medicine data use are spreading rapidly, and its environment is seen as offering strong synergy with StellarCube's AI and data technology stack, suggesting significant growth potential.
Starting from this PainX investment, StellarCube plans to pursue global R&D collaboration, clinically linked validation and North American commercialization in parallel, accelerating its development into an AI-based digital healthcare platform company.
